Is it possible to make this connection with the angles being welded on the secondary beam side?

Hi,
You should remove the joint properties, erase bolts and add welds.

Yes, possible UK hot rolled joints->double sided angle cleat joint (or) _AstM4CrConByRule 1 UK1_DSAngleCleatJointEdge  |
